AN ACT ESTABLISHING INDIGENOUS PEOPLES' DAY AND 
JUNETEENTH INDEPENDENCE DAY AS LEGAL HOLIDAYS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That section 1-4 of the general statutes be amended to redesignate 1 
Columbus Day as Indigenous Peoples' Day and to establish Juneteenth 2 
Independence Day as a legal holiday. 3 
Statement of Purpose:   
To redesignate Columbus Day as Indigenous Peoples' Day and to 
establish Juneteenth Independence Day as a legal holiday.
