AN ACT SUSPENDING EMPLOYEE PAID FAMILY MEDICAL LEAVE 
CONTRIBUTIONS DURING A COVID-19 PUBLIC HEALTH OR CIVIL 
PREPAREDNESS EMERGENCY. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to suspend the collection of the 1 
one-half of one per cent employee payroll contribution to the 2 
Connecticut Paid Leave Authority trust fund during a declaration of a 3 
public health or civil preparedness emergency related to COVID-19 by 4 
the Governor. 5 
Statement of Purpose:   
To suspend the employee payroll contribution to the Connecticut Paid 
Leave Authority during a COVID-19 emergency.
