AN ACT CONCERNING THE IDLING OF MOTOR VEHICLES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to codify the existing 1 
prohibition on the idling of motor vehicles for more than three minutes, 2 
contained in section 22a-174-18 of the regulations of Connecticut state 3 
agencies, and authorize the enforcement of such restriction by 4 
municipalities in addition to the Department of Energy and 5 
Environmental Protection. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To authorize municipal enforcement of a state agency regulation 
prohibiting the idling of a motor vehicle for more than three minutes.
