AN ACT CONCERNING CERTAIN LEGISLATIVE BODIES AND THE
MINORITY REPRESENTATION RULE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 9-167a of the general statutes be amended to apply the 1
minority representation rule to legislative bodies elected from 2
geographic districts and municipalities with charters or special acts 3
containing provisions that are contrary to the minority representation 4
rule. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To apply the minority representation rule to legislative bodies elected
from geographic districts and municipalities with charters or special
acts containing provisions that are contrary to the minority
representation rule.
