AN ACT REQUIRING NOTIFICATION OF A FAMILY MEMBER OF A
PATIENT ADMITTED TO A HOSPITAL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 19a-508 of the general statutes be amended to require a 1
hospital to notify a patient's designated family member when the 2
patient is admitted to the hospital. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To improve patient care and the patient experience by requiring the
notification of a designated family member that the patient has been
hospitalized.
