AN ACT ALLOWING ADVANCE PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSES
AND PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS TO WRITE ORDERS FOR HOME
HEALTH CARE AND VISITING NURSE VISITS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow advanced practice 1
registered nurses and physician assistants to write orders for home 2
health care and visiting nurse visits to expedite care for those in need. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To allow for advanced practice registered nurses and physician
assistants to write orders for home health care and visiting nurses to
avoid delays in care.
