AN ACT PROHIBITING COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AND ARBITRATION AGREEMENTS FROM CONFLICTING WITH STATE LAW. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 5-278 of the general statutes be amended to repeal the 1 provision permitting the terms of collective bargaining agreements and 2 arbitration agreements to prevail over any conflicting provision of the 3 general statutes, a public or special act or an agency regulation. 4 Statement of Purpose: To require collective bargaining agreements and arbitration agreements to comply with the provisions of state law.
