AN ACT REQUIRING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE BENEFICIARIES TO WORK OR VOLUNTEER. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require able-1 bodied, adult recipients of public assistance, including, but not limited 2 to, supplemental nutrition assistance, state-administered general 3 assistance and Medicaid, to work or volunteer for a minimum of twenty 4 hours weekly. 5 Statement of Purpose: To promote work among able-bodied recipients of public assistance.
