AN ACT CONCERNING THE FILING OF DISCRIMINATION AND
HARASSMENT COMPLAINTS WITH THE SUPERIOR COURT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 814c of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
an individual who alleges that he or she has been discriminated against 2
or harassed may bring an action directly to the Superior Court and need 3
not initially bring such action to the Commission on Human Rights and 4
Opportunities. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To expedite access to justice for those claiming discrimination and
harassment.
