AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR HOUSING SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require state agencies to 1
review and adjust contract funding levels to ensure nonprofit providers 2
who provide services for the homeless and housing-related services can 3
(1) pay living wages, overtime, hazard pay and benefits for front-line 4
staff, (2) maintain client caseload sizes to meet industry standards, and 5
(3) adequately fund other costs such as supplies, staff training and 6
development and technology. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure adequate funding for homelessness and housing assistance
services.
