AN ACT EXPEDITING THE ALIGNMENT DATE OF THE STATE AND
FEDERAL ESTATE TAX THRESHOLDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 12-391 of the general statutes be amended to expedite, to 1
January 1, 2022, the date the taxable estate threshold for imposition of 2
the state estate tax is scheduled to align with the federal threshold 3
amount. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To expedite the alignment date of the state and federal taxable estate
thresholds for imposition of the estate tax.
