AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF STATE FUNDS BY PUBLIC
INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION FOR SPEAKING FEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Board 1
of Trustees of The University of Connecticut and the Board of Regents 2
for Higher Education from using state funds to pay for speaking fees or 3
events costs related to current or past political figures. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the use of state funds by public institutions of higher
education for politically related speaking fees or events costs.
