AN ACT CONCERNING REQUIRED HEALTH INSURANCE
COVERAGE FOR TELEHEALTH.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That sections 38a-499a and 38a-526a of the general statutes be 1
amended to provide that individual and group health insurance policies 2
delivered, issued for delivery, renewed, amended or continued in this 3
state shall provide coverage for mental health intakes and visits 4
provided through telehealth, and that such coverage shall be provided 5
at the same level of benefits and cost sharing as mental health intakes 6
and visits provided in person. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To provide that individual and group health insurance policies
delivered, issued for delivery, renewed, amended or continued in this
state shall provide coverage for mental health intakes and visits
provided through telehealth, and that such coverage shall be provided
at the same level of benefits and cost sharing as mental health intakes
and visits provided in person.
