| 24 | 24 | That the general statutes be amended to (1) strengthen the rights of 1 | |
| 25 | 25 | residents of long-term care facilities by allowing petitions to redress 2 | |
| 26 | 26 | violation of their rights; and (2) provide a greater voice for resident and 3 | |
| 27 | 27 | family councils by requiring (A) input from resident councils not later 4 | |
| 28 | 28 | than seven days after the introduction of state-wide policies concerning 5 | |
| 29 | 29 | long-term care facilities, and (B) that representatives of family councils 6 | |
| 30 | 30 | be members of any state-wide task forces making recommendations 7 | |
| 31 | 31 | concerning policies affecting living conditions for residents at long-term 8 | |
