AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONNECTICUT GROWN BRAND.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) create a Department of 1
Administrative Services State Bidder category list for CT Grown "fresh 2
produce" and "greenhouse products", (2) enact penalties for falsely 3
utilizing the "CT Grown" brand, including, but not limited to, the 4
suspension for one year from the CT Vendor list, and (3) empower the 5
Department of Agriculture to enforce federal standards for items 6
purchased with USDA and DOD programs. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that the CT Grown brand is not counterfeited.
