AN ACT REQUIRING THE STATE TO PROVIDE MEDICAL
ASSISTANCE FOR PRENATAL CARE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Social Services to provide medical assistance for 2
prenatal care to pregnant women by utilizing the "unborn child option" 3
under the Children's Health Insurance Program. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To expand access to prenatal care.
