AN ACT CONCERNING JUVENILE JUSTICE POLICY AND CRIMES COMMITTED BY JUVENILES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to repeal changes made to the 1 general statutes by public acts 15-183, 16-147 and 17-2 of the June special 2 session, including those which limited the automatic and mandatory 3 transfer of serious criminal offenses from juvenile court to adult court; 4 those which eliminated the ability to detain serious offenders after 5 arrest; and those which raised the age of juvenile prosecution from 6 sixteen years of age to eighteen years of age. 7 Statement of Purpose: To reinstate certain juvenile justice policies in place prior to 2015 in order to provide law enforcement additional tools to combat juvenile crime.
