AN ACT CONCERNING A PUBLIC HEARING REQUIREMENT FOR
BUDGET EARMARKS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit budget earmarks 1
except for specific spending proposals that received a public hearing. 2
Statement of Purpose:
To require public hearings for earmarks.
