AN ACT REQUIRING ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION COMPANIES TO 
OFFER A SERVICE TO ITS CUSTOMERS PROVIDING GENERATOR 
CONNECTIONS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 16 of the general statutes be amended to require electric 1 
distribution companies to offer a service to its customers providing for 2 
the connection of a generator to such customer's residence in the event 3 
of a power outage. 4 
Statement of Purpose:   
To require electric distribution companies to offer a service to its 
customers providing for the connection of a generator.
