AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF POLYSTYRENE PRODUCTS IN
SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the 1
use of polystyrene foam plates, trays, or food containers or packaging 2
as part of student meal services in public schools in the state. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To ban the use of polystyrene products in public schools in the state.
