AN ACT CONCERNING MEMBERS OF CANINE SEARCH AND
RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That (1) chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to issue special number plates for a 2
vehicle used by a member of a canine search and rescue organization, 3
and (2) section 14-96q of the general statutes be amended to allow the 4
use of flashing lights on a motor vehicle operated by a member of a 5
canine search and rescue organization while on the way or at the scene 6
of an emergency requiring such member's service. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To allow members of canine search and rescue organizations to safety
respond to emergencies.
