AN ACT CREATING INCENTIVES FOR DEFENSE CONTRACTORS TO 
CREATE JOBS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1 
Economic and Community Development to establish a program to 2 
provide incentives, including, but not limited to, sales tax exemptions 3 
and research and development tax credits to defense contractors and 4 
subcontractors that are headquartered in the state and make long-term 5 
commitments to maintain and grow jobs in the state. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To establish a program to provide incentives to defense contractors and 
subcontractors that are headquartered in the state and make long-term 
commitments to maintain and grow jobs in the state.
