AN ACT INCREASING FUNDING FOR THE EDUCATING OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 10-17g of the general statutes be amended to increase 1 funding for bilingual education programs; and further that section 10-2 262h of the general statutes be amended to revise the formula used to 3 calculate a town's equalization aid grant by increasing the weight for 4 English language learners. 5 Statement of Purpose: To adequately reimburse boards of education for the costs associated with educating English language learner students.
