AN ACT RECONVENING THE INDIAN AFFAIRS COUNCIL AND ANALYZING THE STATE'S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAINTAIN THE RESERVATIONS IN THE STATE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That (1) the Indian Affairs Council, established pursuant to section 1 47-59b of the general statutes, be required to reconvene to review the 2 original documents that created the reservations, and (2) section 47-59b 3 of the general statutes be amended to require the council to include in 4 its annual report an analysis of the state's responsibilities with regard to 5 maintaining the reservations and any known problems that reservations 6 are experiencing with any lack of such maintenance. 7 Statement of Purpose: To reconvene the Indian Affairs Council and clarify the state's responsibilities with regard to maintaining and providing services to the reservations in the state.
