AN ACT CONCERNING PROPERTY TAXES AND AFFORDABLE 
HOUSING. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to (1) require an additional 1 
property tax for any municipality in which less than ten per cent of all 2 
dwelling units are affordable housing, and (2) use the revenue from 3 
such additional property tax to fund social services, affordable housing 4 
and other support programs in other municipalities. 5 
Statement of Purpose:   
To require an additional property tax for certain municipalities and use 
the revenues from such tax to fund support services and programs in 
other municipalities.
