AN ACT REQUIRING THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION
CONCERNING MENTAL AN D EMOTIONAL HEALTH RESOURCES BY
SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2021) Not later than September 1, 1
2021, each local and regional board of education shall compile, and 2
annually update, a list of every mental and emotional health resource 3
available to the students in such board's school district. Such list shall 4
include, but not be limited to, resources provided by (1) the board, (2) 5
community providers, (3) school-based health centers, or (4) the state. 6
Each resource shall be listed with a telephone number, an electronic mail 7
address or an Internet link. Each board shall post the list of available 8
mental and emotional health resources on such board's Internet web site 9
and annually notify parents of students in the school district about 10
where to find such list. 11
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To require each local and regional board of education to list on such
board's Internet web site the mental and emotional health resources
available to students.
