1420 AN ACT REQUIRING THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION
1521 CONCERNING MENTAL AN D EMOTIONAL HEALTH RESOURCES BY
1622 SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
1723 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1824 Assembly convened:

20-Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2021) (a) Not later than September 1
21-1, 2021, each local and regional board of education shall compile, and 2

2228 annually update, a list of every mental and emotional health resource 3
23-available to the students and families in such board's school district. 4
24-Such list shall include, but not be limited to, resources provided by (1) 5
25-the board, (2) community providers, (3) school-based health centers, or 6
26-(4) the state. Each resource shall be listed with a telephone number, an 7
27-electronic mail address or an Internet link. Each board shall post the list 8
28-of available mental and emotional health resources on such board's 9
29-Internet web site and distribute such list to parents of students in the 10
30-school district at least semiannually, in September and May of each 11
31-school year. 12
32-(b) For the school year commencing July 1, 2021, and each school year 13
33-thereafter, each local and regional board of education shall distribute to 14
34-students taking a course in health and safety an age and 15
35-developmentally appropriate list of mental and emotional health 16
36-resources available to such students, including, but not limited to, 17 Substitute Bill No. 934
