1220 AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF THE ACCESSIB ILITY OF THE
1321 STATE CAPITOL BUILDING, LEGISLATIVE OFFICE BUILDING AND
1422 RELATED FACILITIES.
1523 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1624 Assembly convened:

1826 Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) The Joint Committee on 1
1927 Legislative Management shall contract, in accordance with the 2
2028 provisions of section 2-71p of the general statutes, with a qualified third-3
2129 party entity for (1) an examination of the State Capitol building, the 4
2230 Legislative Office Building and all other buildings, related structures, 5
2331 grounds and parking facilities under the supervision, security, 6
2432 utilization and control of the committee, and (2) an assessment of such 7
2533 buildings, related structures, grounds and parking facilities as to their 8
2634 accessibility for persons with disabilities. 9
2735 (b) Not later than January 1, 2022, such qualified third-party entity 10
2836 shall submit to the Joint Committee on Legislative Management (1) a 11
2937 report on the findings of such assessment, and (2) recommendations for 12
3038 (A) improving such accessibility, and (B) modifications to such 13
31-buildings, related structures, grounds and parking facilities for 14
32-compliance with the provisions of the federal Americans with 15
