2020 AN ACT CONCERNING PA YMENT PARITY FOR HEA LTH AND
2121 HUMAN SERVICES PROVI DERS.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Social Services, 1
2626 in collaboration with the Commissioners of Mental Health and 2
2727 Addiction Services and Housing, shall study whether state-contracted 3
2828 providers of human services receive disparate payment rates under 4
2929 programs the commissioners administer in different regions of the state. 5
3030 The commissioners shall report, in accordance with the provisions of 6
3131 section 11-4a of the general statutes, on their rate study and any 7
3232 resulting recommendations for rate adjustments not later than 8
3333 November 1, 2021, to the joint standing committees of the General 9
3434 Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to appropriations and 10
3535 the budgets of state agencies, housing, human services and public 11
3636 health. For purposes of this section, "human services" includes, but is 12
3737 not limited to: (1) Physical and behavioral health services, and (2) 13
