2121 AN ACT CONCERNING A PRIVATE OCCUPATIONAL SCHOOL'S
2222 FAILURE TO SUBMIT A RENEWAL APPLICATION.
2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2424 Assembly convened:

2626 Section 1. Section 10a-22d of the general statutes is amended by 1
2727 adding subsection (h) as follows (Effective July 1, 2021): 2
2828 (NEW) (h) The failure of any private occupational school to submit 3
2929 an application to the Office of Higher Education for the renewal of a 4
3030 certificate of authorization on the date on which it is due may result in 5
3131 the loss of authorization under section 10a-22f, as amended by this act. 6
3232 The executive director of said office may deny the renewal of such 7
3333 certificate of authorization if there exists a failure to file such renewal 8
3434 application after the date on which it is due, or any period of extension 9
3535 authorized pursuant to subsection (e) of this section. 10
3636 Sec. 2. Subsection (a) of section 10a-22f of the general statutes is 11
3737 repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 12

4444 (a) A certificate of authorization issued to a private occupational 14
4545 school pursuant to sections 10a-22a to 10a-22o, inclusive, and sections 15
4646 10a-22u to 10a-22w, inclusive, may be revoked by the executive director 16
4747 if such school (1) ceases to meet the conditions of its authorization; (2) 17
4848 commits a material or substantial violation of sections 10a-22a to 10a-18
4949 22o, inclusive, or sections 10a-22u to 10a-22w, inclusive, or the 19
5050 regulations prescribed thereunder; (3) makes a false statement about a 20
5151 material fact in application for authorization or renewal; [or] (4) fails to 21
5252 make a required payment to the private occupational school student 22
5353 protection account pursuant to section 10a-22u; or (5) fails to submit a 23
5454 complete application for a renewed certificate of authorization pursuant 24
5555 to section 10a-22d, as amended by this act. 25
5656 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
