Explanation
The bill requires the Department of Public Health (DPH) and the
Office of Policy and Management to jointly conduct a study of
municipalities with groundwater contaminated with uranium.
DPH does not have the staff expertise to study uranium
contaminated groundwater and will have to contract for such
specialized services at an estimated one-time cost of $150,000 -
$200,000 in FY 22.
