26 | 26 | | Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2021) (a) The Commissioner of 1 |

27 | 27 | | Children and Families, in collaboration with the Commissioner of 2 |

28 | 28 | | Correction, shall collect data relating to petitions for the termination of 3 |
---|
29 | 29 | | parental rights, as defined in section 17a-93 of the general statutes, 4 |
---|
30 | 30 | | including petitions involving parents whose parental rights are 5 |
---|
31 | 31 | | terminated while incarcerated. Not later than January 1, 2022, the 6 |
---|
32 | 32 | | Department of Children and Families shall publish on the department's 7 |
---|
33 | 33 | | Internet web site aggregate data and analysis, which shall include, but 8 |
---|
34 | 34 | | not be limited to: 9 |
---|
35 | 35 | | (1) The number of incarcerated parents who are named in 10 |
---|
36 | 36 | | termination of parental rights petitions; 11 |
---|
37 | 37 | | (2) The number of children who are in foster care due to the 12 |
---|

49 | 49 | | (5) The percentage of parents who consent to the termination of 19 |

50 | 50 | | parental rights and the reasons why such parents consent to the 20 |
---|
51 | 51 | | termination of parental rights, including whether such consent is 21 |

53 | 53 | | (6) Demographic data about persons whose parental rights are 23 |
