20	22		AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE NEEDS OF SENIOR
21	23		CITIZENS.
22	24		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
23	25		Assembly convened:

25	27		Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) The executive director of the 1
26	28		Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity and Opportunity, in 2
27	29		consultation with the Commissioner of Aging and Disability Services, 3
28	30		shall study the needs of senior citizens in the state in order to ensure the 4
29	31		adequate allocation of resources. 5
30	32		(b) The study shall include, but not be limited to, the needs of senior 6
31	33		citizens for (1) long-term care, (2) transportation, (3) housing assistance, 7
32	34		(4) nutritional assistance, and (5) opportunities for socialization. 8
33	35		(c) The executive director shall report the results of the study, in 9
34	36		accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, 10
35	37		to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having 11
