25 | 27 | | Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) The executive director of the 1 |

26 | 28 | | Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity and Opportunity, in 2 |
---|
27 | 29 | | consultation with the Commissioner of Aging and Disability Services, 3 |
---|
28 | 30 | | shall study the needs of senior citizens in the state in order to ensure the 4 |
---|
29 | 31 | | adequate allocation of resources. 5 |

30 | 32 | | (b) The study shall include, but not be limited to, the needs of senior 6 |
---|
31 | 33 | | citizens for (1) long-term care, (2) transportation, (3) housing assistance, 7 |
---|
32 | 34 | | (4) nutritional assistance, and (5) opportunities for socialization. 8 |

33 | 35 | | (c) The executive director shall report the results of the study, in 9 |
---|
34 | 36 | | accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, 10 |
---|
35 | 37 | | to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having 11 |
---|
