25 | 25 | | Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) Beginning on October 1, 2022, 1 |

26 | 26 | | and on the first day of each calendar quarter thereafter, each water 2 |
---|
27 | 27 | | company, as defined in section 25-32a of the general statutes, that 3 |
---|
28 | 28 | | supplies drinking water to one thousand or more persons and a hospital 4 |
---|
29 | 29 | | licensed under chapter 368v of the general statutes or a nursing home, 5 |
---|
30 | 30 | | as defined in section 19a-490 of the general statutes, shall sample such 6 |
---|
31 | 31 | | company's water system for coliform, residual disinfectant, pH, 7 |
---|
32 | 32 | | turbidity and temperature at sites in the company's water distribution 8 |
---|
33 | 33 | | system that are representative of the water entering such hospital or 9 |
---|
34 | 34 | | nursing home. The results of such sample shall be reported to the 10 |
---|
35 | 35 | | Department of Public Health in accordance with the provisions of 11 |
---|
36 | 36 | | section 19-13-B102 of the regulations of Connecticut state agencies. 12 |

37 | 37 | | Sec. 2. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2022) A water company, as defined 13 |
