23 | 23 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General |
---|
24 | 24 | | Assembly convened: |
---|

26 | 26 | | Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2022) Not later than January 1, 2023, 1 |
---|
27 | 27 | | and quarterly thereafter, the Commissioner of Children and Families 2 |
---|
28 | 28 | | shall submit a report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a 3 |
---|
29 | 29 | | of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General 4 |
---|
30 | 30 | | Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to children. Such report 5 |
---|
31 | 31 | | shall include data compiled in the previous quarter for each regional 6 |
---|
32 | 32 | | office of the Department of Children and Families and aggregated state-7 |
---|
33 | 33 | | wide data, concerning the (1) rate at which caseworkers have left 8 |
---|
34 | 34 | | employment with the Department of Children and Families, (2) length 9 |
---|
35 | 35 | | of employment with the department of each caseworker that left 10 |
---|
36 | 36 | | employment, (3) stated rationale for leaving employment with the 11 |
---|
37 | 37 | | department of each caseworker for whom that information is available, 12 |
---|
38 | 38 | | (4) frequency of caseworker turnover for each child in the care and 13 |
---|
39 | 39 | | custody of the commissioner, (5) correlation, if any, between the number 14 |
---|
40 | 40 | | of caseworkers employed by the department and the average length of 15 Raised Bill No. 310 |

49 | 49 | | progress made by the department in the previous quarter toward (A) 19 |

50 | 50 | | improving caseworker retention rates, and (B) meeting any benchmarks 20 |
---|
51 | 51 | | set by the department concerning the permanent placement of children 21 |
---|
52 | 52 | | in the care and custody of the commissioner. Each report submitted 22 |
---|
53 | 53 | | pursuant to this section shall be published on the Internet web site of 23 |
---|
54 | 54 | | the department not later than one week after such submission. 24 |
---|
55 | 55 | | This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following |
