9		-	AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF
10		-	STATE LAND IN THE TOWN OF CHESHIRE FOR A SCHOOL BUS
11		-	DEPOT.
	21	+	AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF STATE
	22	+	LAND IN THE TOWN OF CHESHIRE FOR A SCHOOL BUS DEPOT.
12	23		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
13	24		Assembly convened:

15		-	Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Notwithstanding any provision
16		-	of the general statutes, the Commissioner of Correction shall convey to
17		-	the town of Cheshire a parcel of land located in the town of Cheshire, at
18		-	a cost equal to the administrative costs of making such conveyance. Said
19		-	parcel of land has an area of approximately 3.26 acres and is identified
20		-	as the parcel of land located on Sandbank Road at the Cheshire
21		-	Correctional Institution and is further identified as the combined two
22		-	parcels depicted on Exhibit A "Site Plan or Property Description" of a
23		-	lease entered into between the Department of Administrative Services
24		-	and the town of Cheshire, which was approved by the office of the
25		-	Attorney General on March 19, 2014, and is recorded in Volume 1775 at
26		-	Page 238 of the town of Cheshire Land Records. The conveyance shall
27		-	be subject to the approval of the State Properties Review Board.
28		-	(b) The town of Cheshire shall use said parcel of land for purposes of
29		-	a school bus depot. If the town of Cheshire:
30		-	(1) Does not use said parcel for said purposes; Senate Bill No. 490

34		-	(2) Does not retain ownership of all of said parcel; or
35		-	(3) Leases all or any portion of said parcel,
36		-	the parcel shall revert to the state of Connecticut.
37		-	(c) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of the
38		-	conveyance of said parcel of land not later than thirty days after it
39		-	receives a proposed agreement from the Department of Correction. The
40		-	land shall remain under the care and control of said department until a
41		-	conveyance is made in accordance with the provisions of this section.
42		-	The State Treasurer shall execute and deliver any deed or instrument
43		-	necessary for a conveyance under this section, which deed or instrument
44		-	shall include provisions to carry out the purposes of subsection (b) of
45		-	this section. The Commissioner of Correction shall have the sole
46		-	responsibility for all other incidents of such conveyance.

	47	+	(1) Does not use said parcel for said purposes; 16
	48	+	(2) Does not retain ownership of all of said parcel; or 17
	49	+	(3) Leases all or any portion of said parcel, 18
	50	+	the parcel shall revert to the state of Connecticut. 19
	51	+	(c) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of the 20
	52	+	conveyance of said parcel of land not later than thirty days after it 21
