AN ACT CONSOLIDATING THE NEW HARTFORD VOLUNTEER FIRE
DISTRICT AND THE PINE MEADOW FIRE DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the special acts pertaining to the Pine Meadow Fire District and 1
the New Hartford Village Fire District be amended to (1) authorize the 2
consolidation of the New Hartford Volunteer Fire District and the Pine 3
Meadow Fire District in the town of New Hartford, (2) dissolve the Pine 4
Meadow Fire District, (3) redefine the New Hartford Volunteer Fire 5
District boundaries to include the Pine Meadow Fire District service 6
area, and (4) distribute and transfer all assets and powers of the Pine 7
Meadow Fire District to the New Hartford Volunteer Fire District, 8
which shall include tax, lien and collection powers and all accounts 9
receivable and existing liens. 10
Statement of Purpose:
To authorize the consolidation of the New Hartford Volunteer Fire
Department and the Pine Meadow Fire Department in the town of New
Hartford.
