3232 AN ACT CONCERNING THE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF
3333 CERTAIN DEPICTIONS OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE AND HISTORICAL

3535 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

3838 That the Joint Committee on Legislative Management be required to 1
3939 (1) remove the statue of John Mason from the exterior of the State 2
4040 Capitol building and place it in the Museum of Connecticut History 3
4141 with recognition of his role in the Pequot massacre, (2) conduct a review 4
4242 of all of the statues located within, or on the exterior of, the State Capitol 5
4343 building, and (3) remove the picture of the indigenous people of 6
4444 Virginia from the underground walkway between the Legislative Office 7
4545 Building and State Capitol building and replace it with a more accurate 8
4646 picture of the state's eastern woodlands tribes, obtained in consultation 9
