AN ACT CONCERNING CONTROL OF THE UNION AVENUE
DETENTION CENTER IN NEW HAVEN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) On and after January 1, 2024, the 1
detention center located on Union Avenue in New Haven shall be under 2
the jurisdiction of the Judicial Department. 3
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
Section 1 from passage New section
Statement of Purpose:
To provide that the Union Avenue Detention Center in New Haven be
under the jurisdiction of the Judicial Department.
