OFA Fiscal Note
Potential Cost
The amendment removes the exclusion of construction-related
employees from the "employee" definition in the underlying bill. As a
result, more employees would be covered under the paid sick
provisions, which could increase the enforcement-related workload at
the Department of Labor (DOL). Depending on the workload increase,
DOL would need to hire an additional Wage Enforcement Agent.
