AN ACT REQUIRING HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR 
THE PERIL OF COLLAPSE FOR RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS 
AFFECTED BY CRUMBLING FOUNDATIONS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require 1 
homeowners insurance policies in this state to provide coverage for the 2 
peril of collapse for residential buildings affected by crumbling 3 
foundations.  4 
Statement of Purpose:   
To require homeowners insurance policies in this state to provide 
coverage for the peril of collapse for residential buildings affected by 
crumbling foundations.
