AN ACT CONCERNING PATIENT ACCESS AND UNDERSTANDING
OF OPERATIVE REPORT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to require health care 1
providers to (1) provide each post-operative patient, or such patients 2
legal guardian, with a copy of the operative report after a surgical 3
procedure, and (2) review such operative report with such patient or 4
legal guardian during a post-operative appointment. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To promote patient understanding of surgical outcomes.
