2121 AN ACT CONCERNING THE QUARANTINE TIME FOR DOGS AND
2222 CATS THAT ARE NOT VACCINATED FOR RABIES BUT THAT MAY
2323 HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO RABIES AS INDICATED BY WOUNDS OF
2424 UNKNOWN ORIGIN.
2525 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2626 Assembly convened:

2828 That the general statutes be amended to establish a maximum 1
2929 quarantine period of four months for any dog or cat that is not 2
3030 vaccinated for rabies but that has an open wound of unknown origin 3
3131 and that is suspected of having been exposed to rabies. 4
3232 Statement of Purpose:
3333 To follow the National Association of State Public Health Veterinarians
3434 and reduce the maximum quarantine time to four months for cats and
3535 dogs with open wounds that are suspected of having been exposed to
3636 rabies.
