AN ACT CONCERNING THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS
AND A CONNECTICUT VETERANS CEMETERY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That part Ia of chapter 506 of the general statutes be amended to 1
provide that the Department of Veterans Affairs shall, not later than July 2
1, 2026, designate one or more parcels of land already under the custody 3
and control of said department, or newly acquire one or more parcels of 4
land, as an appropriate final resting place for deceased Connecticut 5
veterans. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Department of Veterans Affairs to, not later than July 1,
2026, designate or acquire land as an appropriate final resting place for
deceased Connecticut veterans.
