AN ACT REQUIRING RETAILERS TO DISCLOSE HEALTH RISKS POSED BY CONTACT LENSES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to provide that any retailer that 1 sells, fits or otherwise provides contact lenses to consumers shall 2 disclose to consumers, at the point of sale, that wearing contact lenses 3 while engaging in certain activities, including, but not limited to, 4 showering or swimming, poses certain health risks, including, but not 5 limited to, blindness. 6 Statement of Purpose: To require retailers that sell, fit or otherwise provide contact lenses to consumers to disclose to consumers, at the point of sale, that wearing contact lenses while engaging in certain activities poses certain health risks.
