AN ACT ALLOWING THE PURCHASE, POSSESSION AND
IMPORTATION OF LARGE CAPACITY MAGAZINES BY CERTAIN
PERSONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 53-202w of the general statutes be amended to allow the 1
purchase, possession and importation of large capacity magazines by (1) 2
a licensed security guard while in the performance of such licensed 3
security guard's duties, and (2) a holder of a photographic identification 4
issued under the federal Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act, 18 USC 5
926B and 926C, as amended from time to time. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To allow the purchase, possession and importation of large capacity
magazines by (1) a licensed security guard while in the performance of
such licensed security guard's duties, and (2) a holder of a photographic
identification issued under the federal Law Enforcement Officers Safety
Act.
