AN ACT REQUIRING TOWING COMPANIES TO ACCEPT
ALTERNATIVE FORMS OF PAYMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsection (b) of section 14-145b of the general statutes be 1
amended to require a person, firm or corporation towing or removing a 2
vehicle to accept payment for towing and storing charges by cash, check, 3
credit card or debit card. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require towing companies to accept alternative forms of payment for
towing and storage charges.
