AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR GIRLS FOR TECHNOLOGY. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the sum of one million dollars be appropriated to the 1 Department of Children and Families, from the General Fund, for the 2 fiscal years ending June 30, 2026, June 30, 2027, and each fiscal year 3 thereafter, for a grant-in-aid to Girls for Technology to support 4 economic empowerment workshops, summer enrichment programs, 5 industry-led workshops and youth development initiatives. 6 Statement of Purpose: To support Girls for Technology activities to address systemic inequities affecting underrepresented and low-income communities across the state, particularly in Hartford, New Haven and New London counties and ensure measurable outcomes in financial literacy, workforce readiness and technological proficiency.
