1818 AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR GIRLS FOR TECHNOLOGY.
1919 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2020 Assembly convened:

2222 That the sum of one million dollars be appropriated to the 1
2323 Department of Children and Families, from the General Fund, for the 2
2424 fiscal years ending June 30, 2026, June 30, 2027, and each fiscal year 3
2525 thereafter, for a grant-in-aid to Girls for Technology to support 4
2626 economic empowerment workshops, summer enrichment programs, 5
2727 industry-led workshops and youth development initiatives. 6
2828 Statement of Purpose:
2929 To support Girls for Technology activities to address systemic inequities
3030 affecting underrepresented and low-income communities across the
3131 state, particularly in Hartford, New Haven and New London counties
3232 and ensure measurable outcomes in financial literacy, workforce
3333 readiness and technological proficiency.
