AN ACT ELIMINATING THE MANDATE THAT BOARDS OF
EDUCATION IMPLEMENT CERTAIN READING CURRICULUM
MODELS OR PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-14hh of the general statutes be amended to make the 1
provisions relating to the implementation of certain reading curriculum 2
models or programs permissive rather than mandatory. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To make implementation of certain reading curriculum models or
programs optional for boards of education.
